A Brief Overview
CGL Facility Management, LLC (CGL) offers comprehensive contract facility maintenance services to commercial clients. The Locksmith is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and servicing of locks, electronic access equipment, and related hardware, including the making of keys.
What You Will Do- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on locks, locking controls, doors, and other equipment per work orders.
- Install, repair, and maintain pneumatic locking systems, door positioning sensors, electric and manual panic device openers.
- Install, repair, and maintain electro‑magnetic latching systems, card‑reading and scanning devices.
- Establish key lock systems that allow controlled access and ensure security.
- Clean, lubricate, and adjust locks; check keys and locks for wear and replace as needed.
- Respond to emergency requests regarding building locking devices within established response times.
- Maintain work order documentation and records in a computerized maintenance management system.
- Stay current on advanced locksmith technologies and trends.
- Follow tool and lock control policies, OSHA guidelines, and all safety regulations.
- Communicate task and project timelines to Facility Manager and Supervisor.
- Complete required compliance, safety, and training.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 4–6 years locksmith or commercial maintenance experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Strong organizational skills in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Required local, state, and federal licenses/certifications.
- Team‑player with strong work ethic and customer‑service orientation.
- Must pass pre‑employment drug test and criminal background check.
