About this Role

The Com Tran Group is a full-service provider of infrastructure construction services to the energy and communication industry with committed values to safety, quality, and customer service. We are looking for a dependable and self-motivated Shop Assistant to support daily operations in a busy mechanic shop. This position plays a key role in maintaining an organized, safe, and efficient work environment while assisting mechanics with general shop tasks.

What You'll Do

* Clean and maintain the mechanic shop, bays, and work areas

* Move tools, equipment, and materials throughout the shop

* Wash and detail vehicles, equipment, and parts

* Load and unload materials and equipment

* Assist mechanics with general shop support duties

* Operate a forklift as needed (training available)

* Follow safety procedures and maintain shop cleanliness and organization

What You'll Bring

* Forklift experience preferred but not required

* Mechanically inclined or comfortable working around vehicles and equipment

* Strong attention to detail

* Self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision

* Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment

Physical Requirements

* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs overhead

* Ability to stand, walk, bend, and change positions frequently

* Comfortable with continuous movement and physical work throughout the shift
