This role provides a diverse range of duties involved in guest related maintenance issues and day-to-day operations of the resort, including the Legacy Lodge and Conference Center, Lake houses on Lanier Islands, and supporting other venues within the property.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- 2nd shift: 3:30 pm to midnight
- Repairs to guest rooms, facilities, and other resort‑related equipment.
- Basic maintenance and repair of plumbing systems.
- Basic electrical maintenance, repair and installation throughout the resort to ensure safe and proper operation.
- Monitor, maintain, repair and carry out preventive maintenance programs on resort heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment.
- Maintenance of resort pools, including chemical checks.
- Hotel experience is a must.
- Flexible schedule.
Candidate must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and a clean MVR for three years. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
CERTIFICATIONValid driver’s license and clean 3‑year MVR.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEHigh‑school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; and effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small‑group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
MATHETICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rates, ratios, and percentages; and draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions and to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENTFrequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock; occasional exposure to high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles. Noise level is usually moderate.
