shop-based Hydraulic Repair and Rebuild Technician
position focused on the diagnosis, repair, rebuilding, and testing of hydraulic components. This is not a maintenance mechanic, facilities maintenance, or preventative maintenance (PM) role.
Qualified candidates should have hands-on experience troubleshooting hydraulic systems, rebuilding hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, and related components, as well as testing repaired units to ensure they meet performance specifications.
A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for the qualified candidate selected for this position.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Component Repair Technician to diagnose, rebuild, and test hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, motors, gearboxes, and related components in a dedicated repair shop environment.
This is a hands-on bench repair role focused exclusively on component tear-down, failure analysis, rebuilding, and performance testing. This position does not involve preventive maintenance, facilities maintenance, or servicing production equipment.
Responsibilities- Diagnose root causes of hydraulic component failures through tear-down, inspection, and testing
- Rebuild hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, motors, gearboxes, and related components to OEM specifications
- Disassemble, clean, inspect, measure, and document component wear and failure modes
- Replace seals, bearings, shafts, and other worn components while maintaining critical tolerances
- Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, exploded views, and OEM repair manuals
- Perform bench testing and quality verification of rebuilt components prior to release
- Complete repair documentation, including findings, parts used, and test results
- Manage repair projects independently from initial tear-down through final testing
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized repair shop environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Experience repairing and rebuilding hydraulic components from multiple OEM brands
- Ability to read hydraulic schematics and technical manuals
- Proficiency with measuring tools and shop equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- 5+ years of hydraulic repair experience
- Experience with industrial hydraulics
- Machining or fabrication experience is a plus
