Warehouse Order Auditor/ Warehouse Associate

is responsible for auditing customer orders to ensure shipment accuracy, inventory integrity, and compliance with customer requirements. Verifies product selection, quantities, labeling, and shipment documentation through physical inspections and system validation. Identifies and resolves discrepancies, maintains accurate records, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational and customer service goals while maintaining a safe and productive warehouse environment.

Additional Responsibilities (Order Auditing Focus)
  • Audit customer orders for accuracy prior to shipment by verifying product SKU, quantity, lot numbers, serial numbers, and packaging requirements.
  • Compare physical product counts against warehouse management system (WMS) records to ensure inventory and order accuracy.
  • Conduct quality inspections of picked orders to identify shortages, overages, damages, or incorrect products before customer shipment.
  • Research and resolve order discrepancies, inventory variances, and documentation errors through established warehouse procedures.
  • Utilize RF scanners, warehouse management systems, and inventory tracking tools to validate order accuracy and maintain audit records.
  • Verify special customer requirements, shipping instructions, and compliance standards are met before order release.
  • Document audit findings and communicate discrepancies to supervisors, inventory control, and operations teams for corrective action.
  • Monitor audit accuracy metrics and contribute to initiatives that improve order quality, inventory integrity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform cycle count verification and assist with inventory reconciliation activities as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, quality standards, and customer service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Support root cause analysis efforts for recurring order fulfillment errors and recommend process improvements.
  • Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and shipment documentation are completed accurately and consistently.

Skills and Abilities
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct order discrepancies.
  • Experience auditing customer orders, inventory transactions, or quality control processes in a distribution center preferred.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanning equipment, and inventory control procedures.
  • Ability to analyze inventory and shipping data to identify trends and process improvement opportunities.
  • Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
  • Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy while working in a fast-paced, productivity-driven environment.
  • Effective problem-solving and investigative skills to resolve order and inventory discrepancies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking audit results, generating reports, and analyzing accuracy metrics.
  • Understanding of FIFO, inventory control practices, and warehouse quality standards preferred.
  • Ability to communicate audit findings professionally with warehouse associates, leads, supervisors, and cross-functional teams.
