Job Description Position Summary

Rangen, LLC has an immediate opening for a skilled and safety‑conscious Electrician to join our maintenance team. This individual will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within the feed manufacturing plant. This role ensures all electrical components, production lines, motors, and control systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, including motors, conveyors, PLCs, variable frequency drives (VFDs), control panels, and lighting.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions in production and plant equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Install new electrical systems and wiring in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and company standards.
  • Maintain and update electrical schematics, diagrams, and equipment documentation.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to support continuous operations and equipment upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation control systems.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely, following company safety policies and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Assist in planning and executing electrical projects, equipment installations, and process improvements.
  • Inspect and test electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and reports.
  • Assist safety and quality teams when needed to ensure compliance with regulatory rules and regulations.
  • Participate in all required training.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience as an industrial electrician, preferably in feed processing.
  • Licensed Electrician (Journeyman or Master) preferred or ability to obtain.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLCs, and motor controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation, sensors, and instrumentation.
  • Working knowledge of NEC and OSHA electrical safety standards.

    Diagnostic and repair skills using hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments.
  • Understanding of lockout/tagout (LOTO) and other safety protocols.
  • Proficient with troubleshooting tools such as multimeters, meggers, and oscilloscopes.
  • Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, climb, and lift up to 55 lbs.
  • Comfortable working at heights, including climbing ladders and stairs.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and be on call as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical Degree in a pertinent field a plus.
  • Having a safety‑first mindset.
