Job Description
Bullhead City Elementary School District is seeking a highly qualified Kindergarten Teacher at Desert Valley Elementary School in Bullhead City, Arizona.
This position requires certification by the Arizona Department of Education.
Job Goal: To help students learn subject matter and/or skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible adults. To lead students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth.

Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree:
Official transcripts documenting a bachelor’s or more advanced degree from an accredited institution. - Current ADE certification with appropriate endorsements as set by the Arizona Department of Education.
- Positive recommendations from past employers and/or training institutions.
- Alternatives acceptable at the discretion of the Board.
- Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
- Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
- Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.
- Diagnose the learning abilities and/or problems of students on a regular basis, seeking assistance from district specialists as needed.
- Assist administration in implementing policies and rules governing student life and conduct, and develop reasonable classroom behavior rules and procedures, maintaining order in a fair and just manner.
- Plan and supervise purposeful assignments for teacher aides and/or volunteers and evaluate their performance with department heads.
- Strive to maintain and improve professional competence.
- Attend departmental meetings and serve on departmental committees as required.
- Implement the district’s philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives through instruction and action.
- Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
- Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and Board policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
A maximum of 190 working days per school year. Salary and workdays will be established by the Board approved schedules.
EvaluationPerformance will be evaluated annually in accordance with the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Certified Personnel.
Job TypeFull‑time, flexible schedule 4-5 days a week.
Salary$37,500.00 to $46,500.00 per year.
