Western Arizona

This is a 13-week contract position.

4/10's Afternoon: 14:00 - 00:30, Saturday to Tuesday

The Medical Technologist I performs routine and specialized moderate and high complexity laboratory tests on blood and body fluid specimens under minimal supervision. This role ensures accurate and reliable test results by adhering to quality control protocols and maintaining laboratory instruments. The Medical Technologist I supports patient care by completing tests efficiently, troubleshooting equipment, and assisting in data collection for regulatory compliance.

This position may also include teaching new employees and students and performing phlebotomy duties as needed.

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on specimens.
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results through quality control.
• Maintain laboratory instruments and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Assist in data collection for regulatory compliance.
• Teach and guide new employees and students.
• Perform phlebotomy duties as necessary.

• 5+ years of experience in a laboratory setting.
• Required
  
  Certifications:
  
  ASCP, AMT, NACCLS.
• Preferred experience in core lab duties:
  Hematology, Chemistry, Blood Bank, Urinalysis, and Serology.
