Summary of Position:

The primary objective of the Bartender is to mix and serve alcoholic beverages based on guests' requests. Their duties include verifying the identification and age of customers, preparing and serving alcoholic beverages, accepting payments from guests, cleaning glasses and bar utensils, and balancing cash receipts to record sales. Managing drink and food orders at a restaurant/bar or event.

RES PONSIBILITIES
  • Bartend and provide exceptional customer service to the guest within the bar by providing drinks and food orders.
  • Prepare alcohol or non- alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons.
  • Interact with guests, take orders, and serve food/snacks and drinks.
  • Verify identification and age requirements of customers.
  • Mix traditional and creative cocktails.
  • Able to know and promote bar items, all food menu items, and any ongoing promotions.
  • Process payment from customers.
  • Clean glasses and bar utensils.
  • Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences.
  • Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits.
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies. Take weekly/monthly inventory of all alcohol and beverage and provide a report to the supervisor.
  • Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRMENTS
  • Must be 21 years old.
  • Have a minimum of 1 year of serving/bartending experience in a similar food and beverage environment.
  • Having a sound knowledge of wines and wine service is an asset.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails.
  • Understanding of unique and complementary flavor pairings.
  • Impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness.
