Hello, I’m Kate, the Nursery Manager at Main Street.

With over 30 years of experience working with children of various ages across different settings, I’m proud to lead a long‑serving, close‑knit team. Together, we have created a very homely and welcoming environment where every child feels valued and supported.

Our gardens are designed to cater to all ages, featuring flower beds, a vegetable patch, and a real shop area—offering hands‑on learning experiences that inspire curiosity and creativity. Inside, our cosy nursery fosters a warm, home‑like atmosphere, with special spaces where siblings and friends can see each other throughout the day.

About the role

As an Apprentice Early Years Educator you will be a key part of keep our children safe, loved and inspired to learn. Key activities include:

  • Applying the Storal curriculum & our pedagogy principles to our children daily
  • Seeking out learning opportunities in everyday routines such as mealtimes & transitions
  • Bond with your children and their families by engaging in meaningful moment
Essentials
  • Are 16 or over, have a passion for children and an aptitude for learning
  • Minimum requirements to apply for this role are English and Maths GCSE grades 2 or E or above OR Functional Skills Level 1 or above.
  • are able to commit to a full apprenticeship programme.
  • are patient and friendly

  • Maximum of 40 minute drive by either car or public transport
