Finance & Accounting Senior Advisor

Our client, a large global materials organization, is seeking a Sr. Advisor - Finance & Accounting to join their growing team! The company has a deep history spanning more than 100 years, and this is an outstanding opportunity to join a growing global finance team where you will play a key role in leading the month-end and year-end close activities, supporting financial reporting, improving accounting processes, and partnering with stakeholders across the business.

Up to $140k base salary + comprehensive benefits package including pension plan

• Lead monthly close activities and support financial and regulatory reporting processes
• Prepare and review financial statements while ensuring accuracy of accounting data within SAP
• Manage stakeholder escalations and drive timely resolution of accounting issues
• Support internal controls, SOX compliance, and internal/external audit activities
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve processes and operational effectiveness
• Analyze performance metrics and present insights to stakeholders and leadership
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements using data analytics and digital tools
• Lead and support transition projects within a global shared services environment
• Maintain accurate documentation including accounting policies, procedures, and process guides

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• CPA preferred or equivalent accounting experience
• Strong experience with SAP (required)
• Experience leading, mentoring, or reviewing the work of others
• Strong understanding of general accounting, financial reporting, intercompany accounting, AP/AR, and analytics
• Experience supporting complex organizations with significant financial reporting requirements
• Ability to analyze business challenges and develop scalable process solutions
• Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across all levels of an organization
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating within a global team environment
• Candidates who have experience in environments with complex inventory, manufacturing, or operational accounting will be highly successful in this role. Strong fits may come from: complex manufacturing, consumer products/CPG, mining, utilities, or other asset-intensive industries
