Korn Ferry is partnering with a client in the construction industry in their search for a Senior Accountant.

Our client is a private equity-backed construction services platform based in the Burbank, operating across multiple business units and delivering residential and commercial solutions
Position Summary
This is a high-impact, build-oriented role with a clear path to assistant controller. The Senior Accountant will own the full accounting cycle for one business unit, including AR/AP, reconciliations, and system integrity between operational and accounting platforms.
This is best suited for a hands-on accountant looking to grow into a leadership role within a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full transaction cycle: invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and AR/AP
- Ensure accuracy and synchronization between operational and accounting systems
- Execute month-end close, including bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintain commission schedules and validate against revenue
- Review operational data (e.g., labor hours) and resolve discrepancies
- Support compliance, including insurance tracking and business license management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Hands-on experience with Quick Books Online
- Experience participating in or owning month-end close
- Ability to work on-site full-time
- Experience in construction, field services, or job costing environments, preferred.
Onsite role 5 days a week onsite in Burbank to start.
