Location & ReportingLocated in Burbank, CA, the Sr. Manager, Licensing (Loungefly) will oversee Funko’s rapidly growing partnerships within the Bags, Accessories, and Fashion portfolio. This role supports Funko’s Softlines business and reports directly to the VP, Licensing and Business Development, with a dotted line to Loungefly’s GM.
What You’ll Do Business Planning & Account Management (50%)- Responsible for all Loungefly partnerships covering current and prospective licensors, including forecasting, relationship brokering, contract negotiation, and review.
- Lead and mentor the Assistant Manager, Licensing (Loungefly) in delivering unit duties.
- Own calendarized business reviews per partner.
- Partner with Sales and senior leadership to identify new business and revenue opportunities and provide coverage on contractual needs.
- Work with GM, VP, Sales, and licensors to develop strategies and business plans by retailer, brand, and property.
- Research and respond to licensor requests in a timely fashion.
- Analyze competitive landscape, market trends, consumer trends, and retailer and industry needs.
- Collaborate with Royalties to analyze account performance and develop growth plans by key licensors and product lines.
- Develop and implement product, merchandising, and marketing strategies to maximize sales and meet contractual commitments.
- Partner with Sales and Joint Business Planning teams on assortment, retail planning, and sales pitches where relevant.
- Collaborate with Merchandising and Creative teams to support innovation and go‑to‑market strategies.
- Ensure compliance with contractual rights and protocols with the Product Development team.
- Act as liaison between Funko Product Development and Licensor Product Development.
- Distribute licensor materials and periodic updates across Funko divisions.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a can‑do attitude.
- Excellent prioritization and self‑governance.
- Minimum 5+ years of direct IP merchandising, fashion categories, or adjacent licensing experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, or related field.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; confident, fluid, and persuasive.
The base salary range for this position is $105,000 - $130,500 annually, with potential for additional discretionary bonuses or incentives on a case‑by‑case basis.
