Senior Administrative Analyst (Z) Salary Range $8,261.24 - $10,863.52 monthly

Administrative Analyst II (Z) Salary Range $7,451.88- $9,799.23 monthly

Administrative Analyst I (Z) Salary Range $6,706.05 - $8,818.46 monthly

The City of Burbank Management Services Department – Employee Services has temporary openings for Senior Administrative Analyst (Z), Administrative Analyst II (Z), and Administrative Analyst I (Z). The Analysts will assist with a wide range of complex human resources work in the areas of employee benefits, personnel actions, classification and compensation, employee training and development program, special projects, Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and policy interpretation.

The length of employment will be approximately three years.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, resourceful, critical thinker, with strong organizational skills. They will possess the ability to manage competing priorities, review, analyze, and interpret complex information accurately and will be comfortable handling confidential and challenging Human Resources work. They work well independently while also collaborating effectively within a team-oriented environment.

The selection and placement into these roles will be dependent upon qualifications and experience, and the city testing process.

Senior Administrative Analyst:

Under general direction, to perform, coordinate, or direct a variety of complex professional, administrative, operational, research, financial, and analytic duties; to coordinate, direct or manage complex administrative or operational projects or programs; and perform related work as required.

Administrative Analyst II:

Under direction, to perform or coordinate a variety of routine and complex administrative, operational, research, financial, and analytical tasks and projects; and perform related work as required.

Administrative Analyst I:

Under general supervision, to assist with a variety of routine administrative, operational, research, financial, and analytical tasks; and perform related work as required.

Senior Administrative Analyst:

Conducts or directs complex research and analysis; prepares and presents detailed and comprehensive written reports and verbal presentations containing complex information and analysis to a variety of audiences, including but not limited to the City Council; evaluates, develops, recommends, and manages the implementation of proposed or existing policies, procedures and practices; may develop, implement, or manage complex personnel programs; coordinates or directs budget preparation, manages budget expenditures and revenues, and may develop and implement performance measurements;

analyzes, develops and implements administrative/operational changes in response to legislative requirements; responds to departmental and citizen inquiries; conducts contract administration; may conduct grant management; may conduct community outreach or develop, implement and manage community programs; may supervise, train, evaluate, and develop clerical and administrative employees; may make effective recommendations regarding promotion, transfer, and disciplinary action, up to and including termination;

may direct or manage the operations of a departmental section or program; may serve as staff to elected officials; drives on City business.

Administrative Analyst II:

Conducts research and analysis; prepares written reports; assists with the preparation of and may give presentations to a variety of audiences, including but not limited to the City Council; assists with the implementation, evaluation and development of proposed and existing policies, procedures, and practices, including routine personnel policy; prepares budgets or coordinates budget preparation, monitors expenditures, and may assist with development, implementation and monitoring of performance measurements;
