Overview:
We are seeking a Director, Content Partner Management, who will serve as the day-to-day lead across a portfolio of content partners with the goal of deepening relationships, spearheading content performance, and ensuring Pluto TV is maximizing its partnership opportunities. This is an on-site position based at our Burbank, CA office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Build and scale an operational strategy for managing 100's of partnerships.
- Developing scalable frameworks, processes, and tools that drive efficiency, accountability, and long-term partner success.
- Proactively source and engage partners for target content and channels, manage inbound submissions and pitches, and evaluate opportunities across editorial, content strategy, and marketing.
- Develop long-term relationships with a portfolio of content partners, communicating regularly with key stakeholders, delivering business reviews, and crafting and executing against operational plans for partner growth.
- Optimize the content pipeline from partners to bolster validated categories and support immediate and future programming expansion across new categories.
- Mentor and develop junior team members on effective partner engagement, clear and direct communication, and disciplined data-driven decision making.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Programming, Marketing, PR, Finance, Legal, Content Operations, Ad Sales, and Distribution to operationalize deals and maximize content performance.
- Support senior leadership on special projects and additional priorities as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
8+ years of direct experience in content partnerships, account management, or business development within media, entertainment, or media technology.
Additional Qualifications:
Deep knowledge of entertainment and media landscapes, including deal structures, distribution models, and key media companies. Proven ability to build and scale operational frameworks across a large, complex partner portfolio. Forward-thinking, tech-savvy mindset with the ability to learn and optimize new tools, platforms, and workflows. Great verbal and written communication skills with extraordinary attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (or equivalent tools) for deal analysis and presentations.
BA/BS preferred; MBA a plus.
Hiring Salary Range: $ - . The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
