Job Overview
Our client is an owner/builder looking for experienced Superintendents to deliver superior multi‑family residences across Southern California. The role is a Permanent Multifamily Superintendent overseeing all aspects of multifamily construction projects, from planning to completion. You will work on podium, wrap, and garden‑style developments, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and job‑site rules.
- Review and interpret project plans and specifications to ensure work is carried out according to design.
- Manage and coordinate on‑site construction activities for compliance with specifications, local codes, and safety regulations.
- Ensure quality control for all construction output, including physical construction and project documentation.
- Proactively identify and resolve problems before they impact project quality, schedules, or budgets.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
- Coordinate and cooperate with local building inspectors and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide clear and concise project updates to clients, architects, and management.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry, focusing on multifamily projects.
- Demonstrated experience with podium, wrap, and garden‑style construction methods.
- Solid understanding of all facets of the construction process, from project planning to completion.
- Familiarity with construction management software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, proactive in identifying and resolving issues.
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
- Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (not required). - Preferred certifications:
Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Certified Professional Constructor (CPC), or Associated General Contractor (AGC).
- Competitive salary: $130,000 – $170,000 per year, depending on experience.
