About the Role

Are you a creative strategist who thrives on turning bold ideas into compelling content? Meruelo Media is looking for a Vice President of On-Demand Content to lead our digital storytelling across some of LA's most iconic radio brands. This is your chance to shape how millions of listeners experience music, culture, and community—across every platform that matters.

You’ll lead a talented team of videographers, editors, designers, and social media creators while collaborating with programmers, on‑air talent, and sales teams to build content that doesn't just get clicks—it gets remembered. What You’ll Do
  • Lead a Creative Powerhouse
    Manage and inspire a multidisciplinary team including videographers, video editors, social media managers, bloggers, and graphic designers. You’ll guide workflow, spark innovative ideas, and ensure every project reflects the unique personality of each brand.
  • Turn Content into Revenue
    Partner directly with our sales team to design and execute custom digital sponsor ships and branded content opportunities that deliver for clients and delight audiences.
  • Think Big, Plan Smart
    Develop long‑term content strategies while staying nimble enough to capitalize on trending moments. You’ll balance vision with execution, ensuring our digital presence is always fresh, relevant, and differentiated.
  • Be a Trend Hunter
    Stay ahead of the curve on media consumption habits, emerging platforms, social trends, AI tools, SEO/SEM tactics, and audience behavior. Bring those insights back to the team to keep us leading, not following.
  • Connect the Dots
    Work across departments—programming, promotions, sales, operations—to maximize engagement and ensure our digital presence amplifies everything we do on‑air and in the community.
  • Drive Performance with Data
    Dive into Google Analytics, audience segmentation, and performance metrics. Translate those numbers into actionable strategies that move the needle—and communicate them clearly to leadership and teams across the organization.
  • Champion the Brands
    Influence how each Meruelo Media station is represented across web, social, video, and advertising. You’ll ensure our tone, look, and feel are consistent, authentic, and unmistakably us.
  • Juggle with Style
    Manage multiple projects with varying scopes and deadlines. You’ll leverage your experience, time management skills, and team resources to deliver quality work that’s always on time and on brand.
  • Collaborate and Innovate
    Regularly brainstorm with operations, programmers, consultants, and on‑air talent to develop content that’s both entertaining and strategically sound—content that sets us apart from the competition.
What You Bring
  • Experience That Counts
    5+ years in multimedia, digital content, or related fields. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but we value real‑world experience and proven results just as much.
  • Creative + Strategic Mindset
    You understand copywriting, design, and storytelling—and you know how to use them to serve business goals. You’re comfortable moving between big‑picture strategy and hands‑on execution.
  • Leadership That Inspires
    You know how to motivate a team, set clear goals, and create an environment where talented people do their best work. You lead by example and celebrate wins together.
  • Digital Fluency
    You’re fluent in social media marketing, platform‑specific messaging, audience targeting, SEO/SEM, and emerging tools like AI. You know how to meet audiences where they are—and speak their language.
  • Communication Skills
    You can write, present, and persuade. Whether you’re pitching an idea to the CEO or collaborating with the promotions team, you communicate with clarity and confidence.
  • Curiosity and Hustle
    You’re self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and always looking for ways to improve. You stay curious about media trends, consumer behavior, and what’s next in digital content.
  • Collaborative Spirit
    You build strong relationships across departments and understand that the best work happens when people work together toward a shared vision.
