• Generate original ideas and encourage ideation from others.
• Conduct thorough research; gather information, acquire materials, and assist with contacting and scheduling guests.
• Provide direction to presenters, content providers, assistants, and other crew members.
• Manage budgets and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Obtain permissions or licenses for on‑location recording or broadcasting, and for the use of music, sound effects, and archived audio.
• Monitor listener emails, inquiries, and responses related to shows.
• Collaborate with presenters, performers, or other program contributors to ensure quality assurance that meets established production standards, rules, and regulations.
• Operate broadcasting technologies such as soundboards and editing/production software.
• Schedule and monitor the radio stream during live recordings.
• Assist with time‑keeping, save show recordings, archive show files, and perform post‑production editing as directed.

• Creative mindset with the ability to formulate and communicate original ideas.
• Excellent writing and storytelling skills; ability to tailor content for different audiences and platforms.
• Knowledge of the radio market, station/program styles, and audience demographics.
• Experience using a variety of recording equipment and operating a radio studio.
• Ability to build rapport and draw information from people.
• Confidence and tenacity to pursue information, overcome obstacles, and pitch ideas to senior colleagues.
• Stress tolerance and the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure, reacting quickly to changes.
• Strong organizational skills: plan and prioritize, multi‑task, and meet tight deadlines.
• Full knowledge of laws, rules, and industry regulations around radio productions; understand requirements for clearances and licenses.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and social media platforms.

• Respect for others and a strong belief in mutual respect.
• Ability to work within standardized procedures and identify when to elevate issues.
• Problem‑solving skills using established procedures.
• Close attention to detail and persistence until issues are resolved.
• Common courtesy in communication with coworkers and external contacts.
