About the Role:

Cali 93.9 in LA is looking for an on-air personality to host our morning, midday, and afternoon shows. We’re looking for an engaging, energetic personality who can connect authentically with Cali 93.9’s audience, deliver compelling topical content, and keep listeners entertained and informed throughout the workday.

You’ll report to the Program Director and bring creativity, consistency, and a strong on-air presence to the midday daypart.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, host, and execute a topical and entertaining midday show from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM, including show preparation using online sources, apps, TV, RSS feeds, social media, and other relevant sources.

• Use social media strategically to extend the show’s content, engage listeners, and drive occasions of listening.

• Work professionally and effectively with Sales, clients, Programming, Promotions, Digital, and other station departments.

• Collaborate with the programming team and contribute ideas that support the Cali 93.9 brand and midday show.

• Possess audio editing skills, including Vox Pro, and stay current on local, entertainment, music, and cultural breaking news relevant to the Cali 93.9 audience.

• Execute contests, promotions, liners, commercial elements, and other programming requirements according to the specifications of the Program Director.

• Attends live, in-person appearances as scheduled by the station or requested by clients.

• Follow and comply with FCC regulations, station and Company policies, including applicable EAS procedures.

• Other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English;
  Spanish-language or bilingual communication skills are a plus.

• Basic knowledge of studio equipment and computers

• Must have excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills and be computer literate with essential social media experience.

• An excellent understanding of the mainstream nature of the Los Angeles community.

• Social media savvy (i.e., Instagram, Tik Tok, etc.)

• Must be willing and able to work the scheduled morning, midday, or afternoon shifts, from the Cali 93.9 studio in Burbank, CA, as well as additional hours for meetings, appearances, promotions, or station needs as scheduled.

• A valid driver’s license and state-mandated automobile insurance are required.
