Overview

The Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel is located conveniently near Burbank Airport and Universal Studios Hollywood. The property features 46,000 sq ft of event space and a variety of dining and beverage outlets.

Job Overview

Greet and register guests, provide prompt and courteous service, and close out guest accounts upon completion of stay to meet high standards of quality.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Greet customers with a friendly welcome and provide accurate information such as outlet hours and local attractions.
  • Complete the registration process, inputting and retrieving information from the computer system, confirm room rate and number of guests, and provide welcome folders and room keys.
  • Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization and handle cash, vouchers, and traveler’s checks.
  • Answer telephone calls, record and retrieve messages, and manage mail and small packages.
  • Close guest accounts at checkout and resolve or refer complaints as necessary.
  • Assist with special guest requests such as safety deposit boxes, fax transmissions, and photocopying.
  • File registration cards in order and retrieve them for check‑out.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor, including assisting PBX operators or reservations agents.
Qualifications
  • Previous hotel front desk experience and familiarity with FSPMS (Marriott OS) required.
  • Strong mathematical skills for moderate calculations.
  • Excellent customer service skills with patience, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the front office.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
  • Good hearing and visual ability to detect emergency situations.
