About the RoleWe are seeking an Associate Project Manager (APM) to join the Games Licensing team. This role will support licensed game producers in managing the review and approval process for games developed by external licensing partners.
The Associate Project Manager will collaborate with internal franchise teams, IP stakeholders, and external development partners to ensure games align with brand standards, strategic objectives, and business goals.
The ideal candidate is passionate about gaming, understands game development processes, and has experience managing projects involving entertainment brands. This position requires strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills while supporting multiple game titles across mobile, console, PC, and emerging platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Support licensed game producers in overseeing game development from concept through launch and live operations.
- Manage communication and coordination between internal stakeholders and external development partners.
- Provide production oversight for a portfolio of live-service and free-to-play mobile games.
- Facilitate design, art, development build reviews, and approval workflows to ensure timely feedback and milestone completion.
- Collaborate with franchise, marketing, creative, and brand teams to secure approvals and required assets.
- Track project schedules, deliverables, risks, and dependencies across multiple projects.
- Analyze and communicate game performance metrics (KPIs) and prepare quarterly reports for stakeholders.
- Maintain project documentation, workflows, calendars, and strategic planning materials.
- Assist partners in developing live operations plans, content roadmaps, and alignment documentation.
- Play assigned games and conduct competitive research to identify trends, gameplay innovations, and monetization opportunities.
- Develop deep knowledge of assigned entertainment brands and ensure products remain aligned with brand standards.
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required.
- Experience working in the video game industry with a strong passion for gaming and game development.
- Experience working with AAA entertainment brands, including film, television, comics, animation, or related IP.
- Project management experience supporting multiple concurrent projects.
- Experience coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Trello, Asana, or similar platforms.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
