Pension Benefits Analyst job at Insight Global, Burbank, CA.

Responsibilities
  • Correspond with Participants, third parties, and vendors.
  • Counsel Participants on retirement and death benefits.
  • Implement benefit modifications and process death benefits.
  • Calculate retirement and death benefits, and handle over/underpayments.
  • Ensure compliance with Trust Agreement and laws, process legal documents, and manage IRS levies.
  • Determine eligibility for health coverage and calculate benefit adjustments.
  • Process retirement applications and prepare annual statements.
  • Verify income and contributions, and manage marriage/divorce documents.
  • Handle electronic funds transfers, international wire transfers, and monthly pension payables.
  • Respond to emails, prepare claim denials, and draft appeal memos.
  • Train and cross-train team members.
  • Coordinate with departments and vendors, develop the Benefits Website, and assist with annual processes.
Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • General office skills, including telephone operation and basic computer skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
  • Goal-oriented with attention to detail.
  • Meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Quick learner with strong analytical skills.

    Make appropriate decisions and explain ideas effectively.
  • Innovative and able to think creatively.
  • Organized with a big-picture perspective.
  • Understand and evaluate complex pension concepts.
  • Handle confidential material within legal guidelines.
  • Experience in pension benefits administration or finance preferred.
