Talent Manager, Employee Relations

This is not a transactional HR role — this is a hands-on, field-facing business partner position.
Position SummaryThe HR Generalist (HR Business Partner) partners directly with District Managers, Clinic Managers, and operational leadership to support the full employee lifecycle across multiple locations.
This role owns employee relations, performance management support, compliance, investigations, talent planning, and proactive people strategy. The HRBP ensures consistency, risk mitigation, and a high-performance culture across their assigned region.
This role requires strong judgment, responsiveness, and the ability to influence leaders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities Employee Relations & Performance ManagementAdvise managers on employee relations issues, investigations, and documentation
Support corrective action, PIPs, demotions, and terminations
Conduct workplace investigations and ensure compliance
Partner with leadership on conflict resolution and team stability
Compliance & Risk MitigationEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Review policies and practices for risk exposure
Support leave management, accommodations, and protected leave processes
Maintain accurate documentation and HR records
Workforce Planning & Talent SupportPartner with leadership on hiring strategy and headcount planning
Support organizational structure changes and role alignment
Review compensation and classification changes
Identify turnover trends and recommend retention strategies
Leadership PartnershipHold weekly touch bases with assigned leaders
Drive proactive people planning and talent discussions
Coach managers on leadership effectiveness and accountability
Support change management during acquisitions or restructuring
Culture & EngagementSupport performance-driven, accountable clinic culture
Reinforce communication standards and leadership expectations
Assist with engagement initiatives and feedback programs
Qualifications3–5+ years of HR experience (multi-site preferred)
Strong employee relations and investigation experience
Working knowledge of multi-state employment laws (California strongly preferred)
Experience supporting operations-driven or field-based organizations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to influence without authority
High discretion and sound judgment
