HR Generalist / Talent Management, HRIS Specialist, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Benefits Assistant to support the administration of employee benefits programs and provide outstanding customer service to employees regarding benefits-related inquiries. This on-site role in Van Nuys is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys working with confidential information and supporting HR operations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the daily administration of employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans
- Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations accurately and timely
- Respond to employee questions regarding benefits eligibility, enrollment, and coverage
- Maintain employee benefits records and ensure data accuracy within HRIS and benefits systems
- Assist with new hire onboarding and benefits orientation
- Coordinate with benefits providers and third-party administrators to resolve issues
- Prepare benefits-related reports, documents, and correspondence
- Support open enrollment activities, benefits audits, and compliance initiatives
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information and records
- Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources team
- 1+ years of benefits administration, human resources, or administrative support experience preferred
- Knowledge of employee benefits programs and HR practices is a plus
- Strong data entry and record-keeping skills with high attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Experience with HRIS systems preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience supporting open enrollment and employee benefits administration
