Rate Range :
Up to $96/hr on W2 depending on experience (no C2C or 1099 or sub-contract)

Must Have

• 5–10+ years of software engineering experience (experience level flexible for the right AI background)
• Strong hands-on coding experience in Python (preferred), Type Script, Node.js, or Go
• Experience with cloud platforms,
  primarily AWS
• Microservices and distributed systems architecture
• CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment practices
• Containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs into production systems (not demos or experiments)
• Experience building AI-driven workflow automation that replaces or reduces real manual processes
• Strong understanding of when to use LLMs vs rules-based approaches
• Experience designing and implementing RAG architectures using vector databases
• Clear understanding of embeddings, vectorization, indexing, and retrieval strategies
• Senior-level ownership of end-to-end solution architecture for AI systems
• Experience with SQL and No

• Ability to produce and explain system diagrams before implementation
• Ability to clearly articulate technical decisions and tradeoffs

• Design AI-driven automation solutions that replace complex manual workflows
• Start every project with system design and architecture, then execute hands-on implementation
• Build small, production-ready systems that can be shipped and iterated on
• Design document intelligence and data extraction pipelines for unstructured data (PDFs, Word, etc.)
• Use LLMs to parse, classify, extract, transform, and validate information
• Select the right tools for the job, including LLMs, vector databases, and supporting services
• Build and maintain RAG pipelines that support production workloads
• Write clean, production-quality code and debug complex issues
• Partner closely with business stakeholders to understand workflows and pain points
• Mentor junior engineers through hands-on collaboration and whiteboarding
• Promote strong engineering fundamentals and best practices

• Deep experience in systems architecture and platform design
• Ability to explain how an AI system works end to end, including failure handling and validation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to operate in ambiguous and fast-moving environments
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience
• Advanced degree preferred

• Experience building AI agents or agentic workflows
• Experience automating business processes beyond AI (traditional automation experience)
• Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Open Search, or FAISS
• Experience operationalizing AI systems beyond experimentation
• Cloud certifications (AWS preferred)
• Experience improving developer productivity through automation
