Your New Role…Global Franchise at Warner Bros. Discovery is chartered with identifying and driving the maximization of the long‑term value of WBD’s beloved and iconic franchise IP. Examples of this IP include Batman, Superman, Harry Potter, Looney Tunes and beyond. WBD has hundreds of millions of followers across its franchise digital and social footprint. One of the key elements of driving long‑term value is 365 fan engagement and acquisition across social and digital channels globally.
The SVP, Digital Marketing, Global Franchise will lead our fan engagement strategy, partnering closely with our Franchise and Line of Business leaders to expand and deepen our audiences year‑round across social and digital platforms, , and HP CRM. This leader will support key line of business tentpoles and drive our major franchise marketing moments such as Back to Hogwarts and Batman Day.
YourRole Accountabilities…
- Lead the global social and digital footprint for Global Franchise, spanning Harry Potter, DC (including Batman, Superman, and other character handles and channels), Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry, WB Kids, DC Kids, and other franchise properties.
- Oversee channel and handle strategy in coordination with Franchise leads, WBD digital leads, and WBD senior leadership.
- Lead a best‑in‑class digital marketing organization, providing thought leadership on implementing franchise strategies across the digital ecosystem, developing high impact digital creative, and driving fan engagement and affinity.
- Deliver creative excellence and digital marketing expertise, encompassing social strategy, campaign development, and original content production.
- Drive commercial value for franchise lines of business by leveraging the digital footprint to create and/or distribute content and marketing materials.
- Serve as GM for Wizarding World Digital (JV), overseeing the full Harry Potter digital ecosystem to grow fan engagement and acquisition. Lead Harry Potter CRM, including
- Support WBD Franchise strategies across Harry Potter, DC, and Animation by developing and implementing digital marketing campaigns aligned with brand and franchise marketing initiatives.
- Develop evergreen (365) social content for Harry Potter, DC, and Animation based on franchise priorities to fuel fan engagement.
- Lead the WBD Franchise Digital Originals content studio, developing original digital‑first content creative offerings including animation, studio‑based content, and more.
- Manage digital agency relationships, including RFPs, day‑to‑day oversight, and performance measurement.
- Oversee digital marketing paid media and performance marketing, optimizing both campaign‑specific and evergreen spend across the franchise ecosystem.
- Manage franchise digital operations to ensure efficient use of resources within the Franchise team and across WBD lines of business.
- Lead digital data and analytics, establishing best‑in‑class KPIs and measurement frameworks to inform digital marketing strategies and execution.
- Partner with Franchise strategy leads to identify and develop campaign and annual digital footprint KPIs.
- At least 15 years of experience in marketing, brand, and/or franchise management, with significant experience in digital marketing and leadership.
