Overview

Sr. Manager, Product & Engineering (Legal Technology) – Disney. This role leads a cross-functional team to deliver a portfolio of products for internal business stakeholders, covering product management, program and project delivery, software engineering, and technical operations. The Senior Manager ensures products align with strategic priorities and the enterprise technology roadmap, driving innovation, operational excellence, and collaborative growth.

We are seeking a seasoned technology leader with strong product management, agile delivery, and stakeholder engagement capabilities. The ideal candidate thinks strategically about the future of our products while remaining pragmatic and iterative in execution.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee the engineering, delivery, and support of a diverse portfolio of products, ensuring strategic alignment with business functions for Legal & Global Affairs (including Antipiracy, eDiscovery, Legal Operations, Global Ethics & Compliance Management, Office of the Corporate Secretary, and Privacy).
  • Lead complex, cross-functional teams to deliver technology solutions that drive business value and measurable outcomes.
  • Develop and execute product, project, and program roadmaps, aligning with business planning cycles and enterprise strategies.
  • Provide a holistic view of business capabilities, value streams, and end-to-end delivery; ensure solutions align with organizational structure, business strategies, and stakeholder needs.
  • Develop and execute product roadmaps balancing innovation with operational excellence and enterprise scalability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders at all levels to ensure strategic alignment and user-centric product development.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across business, product, and engineering teams to achieve shared goals and innovation.
  • Drive intake, demand management, and product roadmaps ensuring alignment with user needs, business goals, and technical capabilities.
  • Own and lead the full lifecycle of large software development projects across multiple teams and components.
  • Track and report on product and project performance using data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Champion Dev Ops, CI/CD, and automation strategies to improve delivery efficiency and reliability.
  • Ensure technical alignment with enterprise architecture standards (including TOGAF principles) and engineering best practices.
  • Oversee adherence to industry standards, regulations, and governance requirements for all products and processes.
  • Serve as escalation point for resolving complex issues and critical inquiries; advocate for customer-centric development and real-world usability.
  • Oversee technical operations, ensuring reliability, security, and maintainability of systems and platforms.
Program Management & Agile Adoption
  • Drive agile adoption and best practices, ensuring iterative development, backlog prioritization, value-driven delivery, and continuous feedback loops.
  • Establish clear success metrics and KPIs for product and project performance; promote data-driven decision-making.
  • Identify risks in the product development lifecycle and implement mitigation strategies for successful delivery.
  • Collaborate with product managers, product owners, software engineers, and domain architects to align business requirements with technical feasibility and agile delivery.
  • Oversee project and cost center budgets, forecasting and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and partners to ensure successful delivery and sustained product operations.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of direct reports; provide career guidance and structured development plans.
  • Identify and develop high-potential talent; foster a culture of learning, growth, and performance excellence.
