CNC Mill Machinist - 4-5 axis

$35.00 - $45.00 per hour (1st or 2nd shift)

• Experience machining with 4-5 axis CNC Mills (Mazak, Fadal, Toyoda) preferably in aerospace manufacturing.

The CNC Machinist produces machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records and maintaining equipment and supplies.

• Understand work orders, blueprints, manufacturing orders, and machining parameters.
• Validate material used.
• Maintain specifications; troubleshoot, detect malfunctions and take appropriate actions; know when to replace worn tools.
• Listen to machining operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and compensate for problems.
• Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments, templates, fixtures and knowledge of GDT standards.
• Maintain continuity among shifts by documenting and communicating actions taken thus far as well as any necessary further steps.
• Any other task assigned by supervisor or management.

• Experience working with Mazak, Fadal, or Toyoda CNC machines.
• Understanding of CNC G Code.
• Understanding of basic Math, Geometry and Trigonometry.

The level of the position will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities.
