* Job Summary:

* ** The Production Planner I coordinates with the operations and procurement teams to ensure the movement of materials and resources through departments to meet production schedules.*
* ** Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components to the aerospace and defense markets. * Essential Functions:

*
* ** Draw up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders*
* ** Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements*
* ** Plan and schedule workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times*
* ** Plan sequence of fabrication and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers*
* ** Confer with supervisors to determine status of assigned projects; expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions*
* ** Prepare production reports*
* ** Prepare purchase orders to obtain materials, tools, and equipment*
* ** Any other tasks assigned by supervisor or management*

* Minimum Qualifications:

*
* *
* Experience:

5+ years' experience in scheduling, supply chain or fulfillment*
* ** Knowledge:
Strong working knowledge of manufacturing, production planning and materials control functions;
Strong understanding of Kanban Systems, JIT, POU, FIFO, Level loading, with a manufacturing process understanding preferred*
* ** Skills/Abilities:
Expert in using scheduling and capacity planning tools experience with Oracle;
Significant experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Access;
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, good communication and interpersonal skills*
* *
* Education/Certification:

BS degree required*
* *
* Preferred Qualifications:

* ** Experience with Lean Manufacturing strongly preferred*
* ** Experience with Oracle (11i preferred)*
* ** Eligibility Requirement:*
* ** This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).*

* Working Conditions:

* ** Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.*
* ** Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE*
* ** Ability to lift objects up to 25 lbs.*
* ** Flexible and willing to work overtime if necessary*
* ** Standing: 90%, Sitting: 10%, Lifting (in pounds): up to 25 pounds, Pushing (in pounds): up to 50 pounds Mental/Visual:
Use of microscope and computer. Workspace (line, cube, etc): clean bench*
* ** _Salary range: $33.98/hr.

- $40.30/hr._
