Screw Machinist

For the past 60 years, Accratronics Seal Corporation has specialized in Glass-to-Metal hermetically sealed connectors and precision machining.

CNC Swiss Machinist (1st or 2nd Shift) – Burbank, CA; reports to Production Supervisor.

• Complete tool, fixture, and material setup on CNC Swiss style machine.
• Run first piece article and prepare for inspection.
• Verify parts using precision measuring equipment.
• Change tools and offsets based on cutting conditions.
• Use proper methodology, cutting tools, feed, speed, and other parameters for materials such as aluminum, steel, stainless steel, titanium, etc.
• Revise programs as needed based on engineering or production changes.
• Participate in troubleshooting on CNC programming and production‑related issues on the shop floor.
• Perform other similar or related duties as required.

• Minimum 5 years of CNC operation with setup experience.
• Minimum 2 years operating a Swiss style machining center.
• Experience with Citizen A20, L20 or M32 machines, or STAR Swiss machines is a plus.
• Dual spindle lathe and 5‑axis milling experience is a plus.
• ESPRIT programming software experience is a plus.
• General knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Work with little or no supervision; prior lead experience is a plus.
• Must meet all ITAR background requirements and be a US Person.

• Minimum high school education or equivalent.

Must be able to stand for the entire shift and lift up to 35 lbs independently.

Salary Range: $70,000 – $90,000 per year (hourly rate);
Hires on 2nd shift receive a 10% premium on hours worked during second shift time.

• Day shift: 6:00am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday.
• Night shift: 4:30pm – 3:00am, Monday – Friday.
