* ** The Material Handler II is responsible for receiving, moving, storing, counting, tracking, issuing, and shipping a variety of production parts, materials, and supplies. The production floor relies on this position to provide the right parts and materials at the right time to meet on-time-delivery goals.*

* Essential Functions:

*
* ** Maintain accurate inventory control by following established work instructions and processes.*
* ** Complete the cycle count process for Value Stream;
Escalate variances in counts as needed*
* ** Perform root cause investigation on variances in cycle counts*
* ** Move materials to and from receiving, production areas and shipping by hand, using sorting*
* ** bins and carts, or other equipment*
* ** Consult with others (i.e., supervisors, buyer planners, etc.) to rectify problems, such as*
* ** damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications*
* ** Unpack, receive, and stock materials into storeroom location(s);
Pack and ship materials in*
* ** accordance with contract requirements*
* ** Read work orders to determine material and equipment needs for production cell work*
* ** Issue critical materials to production cells*
* ** Respond to unplanned issues with internal customers in a timely manner*
* ** Aid and/or Backfill coworkers, as needed to complete daily tasks*
* ** Change part stocking methods to better facilitate production needs*
* ** Ensure compliance with export compliance rules*
* ** Assist with training new employees and cross training other materials associates*
* ** Capable of supporting more than one value stream*
* ** Any other task assigned by supervisor or management*

* Minimum Qualifications:

*
* *
* Experience:

3-6 years of relevant manufacturing experience;
Previous experience working with manufacturing software tools*
* ** Knowledge:
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods;
Familiar with lean principles;
Understanding of continuous improvement tools*
* ** Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrated outstanding manual dexterity;
Demonstrated ability to concentrate on repetitive tasks;
Demonstrated ability to accurately follow detailed work instructions;
Demonstrated ability to understand standard work instructions;
Demonstrated ability to solve routine problems;
Math skills to perform basic calculations;
Outstanding verbal communication skills;
Proficient with MS Office*

High School diploma or equivalent*

* Preferred Qualifications:
