### The Production Planner I coordinates with the operations and procurement teams to ensure the movement of materials and resources through departments to meet production schedules.### Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components to the aerospace and defense markets. Essential Functions:

* ### Draw up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders* ### Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements* ### Plan and schedule workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times* ### Plan sequence of fabrication and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers* ### Confer with supervisors to determine status of assigned projects;

expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions* ### Prepare production reports* ### Prepare purchase orders to obtain materials, tools, and equipment* ### Any other tasks assigned by supervisor or management### ###

Minimum Qualifications:

* ###

Experience:

5+ years’ experience in scheduling, supply chain or fulfillment* ### Knowledge:
Strong working knowledge of manufacturing, production planning and materials control functions;
Strong understanding of Kanban Systems, JIT, POU, FIFO, Level loading, with a manufacturing process understanding preferred* ### Skills/Abilities:
Expert in using scheduling and capacity planning tools experience with Oracle;
Significant experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Access;
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, good communication and interpersonal skills* ###

Education/Certification:

BS degree required###

Preferred Qualifications:

* ###

Experience with Lean Manufacturing strongly preferred* ###

Experience with Oracle (11i preferred)###

Working Conditions:

*** Salary range: $33.98/hr.
