Overview

Maintenance at Amazon — Reliability Maintenance & Engineering (RME) partners with Operations to maintain Robotics and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and ensure reliable performance across buildings. We drive continuous improvement and support the Operations team to deliver fast, accurate service.

As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will also mentor junior technicians to help them grow in their roles.

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to MHE, including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.
• Maintain positive working relationships across the Amazon Operations facility.
• Move up to 49 lbs, stand and walk up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways safely, and perform regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.

• High school or equivalent diploma
• 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products
• Flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience, or certification from Amazon's Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program
• 2+ years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
• 2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics
• 2+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience
• 2+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE

• Experience with robotic operation and maintenance
• 2+ years of electrical and electronic principles experience
• Associate's degree in Mechanical or Electrical
• 2+ years of Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship experience
