Performs various simple fabrication, process, and assembly operation in production of low and high temperature insulation forms, blankets, and related products.
Under general supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:
- Ability to perform high temperature thermal insulation fabrication.
- Assembly operation in cutting metal foil and fiberglass insulation to size.
- Hand forming such skins, making cut-outs, or punching holes, assembling of matched foil skins and insulation layer.
- Hooking and folding edges, fabricating stiffeners, and identification tags.
- Cutting patches.
- Tack welding seams, and spot welding of skins, stiffeners and patches.
- Follow all Senior policies and procedure.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or
Experience:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or 1- 2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills:
- Language: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply a general understanding to carry out detailed, written and oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Mathematical Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Other Abilities: Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
Tools used:
Light hand tools such as scissors, knives, snips, hand crimpers, rollers, mallets, ball peens, pinching pilers, paint brushes, screw drivers, rulers, scale, templates, and patterns.
Equipment used:
Motors, ovens, freezers, forming molds, vacuum pumps and any other equipment as deemed necessary by the supervisor.
Materials used:
Rubber fiberglass stock, fiberglass stock, rubber-based paints, catalysts, solvents, adhesives, abrasives, plastic tape, and fiberglass insulation.
Annual Target Salary = $43,680.00
Monday - Friday 1st Shift 5:00am - 3:30pm
