Position Music is an independent record label and music publisher based in Burbank, California, with an additional office in Nashville, Tennessee. Established in 1999 and still led by Founder and CEO Tyler Bacon, Position Music has grown into a full-service music company with a passionate team of 50 professionals dedicated to supporting artists, songwriters, and the creative community.

JOB SUMMARY

Position Music is looking for a Manager, Digital Marketing to lead and execute digital campaigns across the Position Music Label, supporting the product managers and marketing directors on the label marketing team and reporting to the Head of Label Marketing. This role will drive fan engagement strategy, oversee digital rollouts from development through release, and collaborate seamlessly with internal teams, artists, their teams and external partners.

The ideal candidate lives and breathes digital culture — fluent in emerging platforms, trends, and audience behavior — and knows how to help developing artists build and activate their digital footprint while scaling momentum for established acts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drive and develop fan engagement and digital campaigns from ideation to execution. These campaigns should create cultural conversation, build artists' social followings and engagement, and drive music consumption.
  • Monitor campaigns in real time and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Create post-mortem analyses to quantify the impact of each campaign and measure the effectiveness of each tactic.
  • Use your expert-level knowledge of social platforms and social content strategies when partnering with artists and management to craft a social narrative and content strategy that elevates their brands and drives fandom, cultural conversation, and music consumption.
  • Manage social media strategy for artist campaigns across all social platforms, websites, newsletters, fan communities, and other owned digital channels.
  • Maintain social and digital assets: bios, banners, static videos, links, press and profile photos, website, fan communications including newsletters, and more as needed.
  • Execute paid media campaigns and own CRM strategy.
  • Build and maintain relationships with third-party partners and social media platform representatives (including but not limited to Meta, Tik Tok, You Tube, VEVO, Twitch, Snap, Discord, Reddit, X, etc).
  • Manage online marketing budgets for each artist, ensuring optimal ROI and resource allocation across campaigns
  • Maintain a constant pulse on digital culture and platform behavior, translating trends into timely conversation-driving moments for artists and releases.
  • Develop and manage digital marketing budgets informed by performance data and ROI analysis, guiding spend allocation and campaign prioritization.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • 3-5 years minimum of digital/social media marketing experience, preferably in music or music‑adjacent company.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an innate ability to collaborate.
  • A self‑starter with impeccable follow‑up and follow‑through
  • A deep professional knowledge of platforms and technologies, including but not limited to Tik Tok, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, You Tube, Snapchat, Discord, Website strategy, Email/CRM strategy and overall social media trends.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect and interpret data.
  • A passion and deep knowledge of trends and current pop culture.
  • Ability to gracefully work under high pressure and speed.
  • Expertise in social media and editing tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Cap Cut, and Canva.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
  • Salary range: $60,000-$67,500
