Position SummaryMission Community Hospital is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Night Shift team. The ICU RN is responsible for delivering high‑quality patient‑centered care to critically ill patients while collaborating closely with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Monitor and interpret patient conditions, vital signs, and cardiac rhythms
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case management, and interdisciplinary teams
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations and patient changes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and ongoing care
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, infection prevention standards, and patient safety protocols
- Support a positive and collaborative work environment
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced acute care environment
- Excellent teamwork and patient care skills
Minimum of 2 years of acute hospital experience in Med Surg/Telemetry required. Preferred:
At least 1 year of ICU experience.
Full‑time Night Shift
Pay TransparencyDepending on the specific role or shift, employees may be eligible for additional compensation (Differential Pay) between $1.00 - $5.00 per hour.
