Surgical Services Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift - 5x8 Hour (06:30 - 15:00) with call responsibilities of 4-6 times within a 6-week schedule, including weekend calls.

The Surgical Services Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients. This includes preoperative assessment, intraoperative support, and postoperative recovery. The ideal candidate will be experienced in various surgical procedures and possess strong clinical skills.

• Assist in planning and implementing patient care plans in collaboration with medical staff.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and surgical site during and after surgical procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding post-operative care.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to aseptic techniques during surgical procedures.
• Document all patient interactions and procedures accurately in the charting system.

• Active RN license in California.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• 1 year of experience in surgical services is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
