Quality Specialist; Final Inspection

Will identify problems with workmanship or process damage. Ensure the quality of produced assemblies by physical and visual inspection to verify characteristics against predetermined specifications, drawings or standards.

• Works from blueprints, customer drawings, engineering change notices, military standards, and established operating procedures to determine acceptance, rejection or rework requirements of assembled units or supplier components
• Conducts visual inspections with a high level of accuracy to verify physical properties
• Ensures the build and test manufacturing process has been completed
• Proactively communicates errors and systemic trends to the quality organization
• Enters data into software tools
• Any other task assigned by your supervisor or management

• Experience:
  
  Minimum 1-5 years as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment, including high customer service experience. Experience in mechanical inspection, first article inspection, and final inspection. Proficiently interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models that utilize GD&T to understand design intent and define inspection requirements.
• Knowledge:
  Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Skills and Abilities:
  
  Effective verbal and written communication skills; competence to perform inspections using surface plates, calipers, thread gauges, scales, micro-hite; general PC skills, including Word, Excel and Oracle; ability to interpret drawings and part specifications; accurate color vision and depth perception; vision corrected to 20/20; ability to work in a team-oriented environment, including interfacing with Order Management, Internal Quality Engineers, Customers, and other internal management personnel.
• Education and Certification:
  High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Eligibility Requirement:
  This position may require access to controlled data or information. Where the position requires such access only U.S. persons will be considered. As a U.S. Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Minimum qualifications for Quality Specialist I: 1+ years of relevant experience.

Minimum qualifications for Quality Specialist II: 3+ years of relevant experience.

Minimum qualifications for Quality Specialist III: 5 years of relevant experience.

Hourly Pay Range for Quality Specialist I: $25.88 to $32.90

Hourly Pay Range for Quality Specialist II: $29.70 to $37.90/hour

Hourly Pay Range for Quality Specialist III: $33.49 to $40.76/hour

• Familiarity with AS9100 standards
• Familiar with AS9102 First Article Requirements
• Experience with CMM
• Electrical inspection IPC-610
