Part-Time Assistant Manager - Level 1

We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a key part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing excellent customer service, ensuring fans can find their favorite merchandise. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to assist in training new team members and support daily operations and sales goals.

• Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty through product knowledge and excellent service.
• Support store operations by stepping in on the sales floor and assisting the management team as needed.
• Handle opening and closing procedures responsibly.
• Operate the register, process sales, and promote add-on sales using benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup, while managing register closeouts and communicating shortages or overages to management.
• Understand sales goals and KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
• Assist with planogram updates, including store layout and merchandising.
• Communicate current fashion and music trends to management and HQ partners.
• Work with store management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
• Maintain organized stock rooms and a tidy store environment.
• Contribute to building a passionate, collaborative team to run the store effectively.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Store Leader.

• At least 1 year of retail experience, with a passion for music and pop culture.
• Strong skills in communication, time management, professionalism, and team development.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay rate: $17 - $19.55 per hour. Final salary will depend on education, location, experience, and meeting role requirements.
