Overview

Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) (T1362) – Target. Starting Hourly Rate / Salario por Hora Inicial: $19.00 USD per hour.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks and engage with guests to solve their needs.
• Provide assistance, solve guest concerns, and communicate current promos, store activities, and events.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store (and your area) to solve issues and improve guest experience.
• Promote and explain Target Loyalty programs; assist with application or sign-up as needed.
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
• Explain and demonstrate features and offerings in the Target App (including Wallet) and direct guests to Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering; assist with enrollment and use of these features.
• Handle returns following register prompts; collaborate with Leaders as needed while adhering to Target policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area; restock supplies during store open hours and be available for the guest.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) Orders, and DU Returns; comply with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws where applicable.
• Assist with other duties based on business needs.

• You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and peak periods).
• Strong communication skills, welcoming attitude toward guests and team members, attention to detail, and willingness to educate guests about products and services.
• Ability to communicate on multiple devices, operate handheld scanners, and other technology as directed; able to work independently or as part of a team; maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to handle checkout operations, transactions, and support cash office tasks as needed.
• Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds routinely and up to 44 pounds occasionally without assistance.
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable and prompt attendance.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift and work in varying temperatures and environmental conditions (Drive-Up, carryout, etc.).
