Smart & Final is a grocery warehouse store offering fresh produce, quality meats, and groceries as well as more than 3,000 club‑sized items. We are part of the Chedraui USA group and provide an engaging shopping experience.

What You’ll Bring

• Read and write English; interact with the public and co‑workers.
• Comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and memos.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and employees.
• Apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills (extra).
• Retail Management Certificate (extra).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain the assigned store section and stock merchandise using proper equipment.
• Ensure proper pricing, check product date codes, and stock shelves, end displays, floor stacks, displays, and refrigerated/frozen cases.
• Prepare perishable products for sale as needed.
• Set up advertising/promotional displays.
• Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas of store and parking lot.
• Offer friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous assistance to customers.
• Assist customers with loading purchases into their vehicles.
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties, recording lost/damaged goods and store supplies.

Basic qualifications:

Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, basic PC/Outlook skills, excellent communication skills, and completion of basic safety training.
