What You’ll Do
- Sell iHeart
Media’s portfolio of News/Talk radio stations, local and national hosts, and News/Talk podcasts. - Prospect and develop new business through proactive outreach and cold calling.
- Build strong consultative relationships with advertisers and decision-makers.
- Create compelling, results‑driven marketing solutions for clients.
- Maintain a strong pipeline by conducting 8‑10 client/prospect meetings per week.
- Work collaboratively from the iHeart
Media office in your local market.
- 2‑3+ years of direct sales experience in radio, audio, or media sales.
- A self‑starter mentality with a strong “go‑getter” attitude.
- Exceptional relationship‑building, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Persuasive communicator with strong storytelling ability.
- Highly organized, goal‑oriented, and proactive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Comfortable with cold calling and initiating outreach for lead generation.
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and social networking platforms.
- Ability to prioritize daily activities based on shifting business needs.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a high school diploma required (college degree preferred).

- Week 1: Complete onboarding journey for deep understanding of the company, job‑specific trainings, and spend time with your team.
- Week 2: Spend more time with your manager to align on work, communication styles, priorities, and expectations.
- Week 3: Start “owning” your role and lean into the real day‑to‑day, with your manager’s support and advocacy.
- Week 4: Prioritize a 30‑day check‑in to determine what else you might need to be most successful.
- Respect for others and a strong belief that mutual respect is essential.
- Specialized knowledge of the media industry and related sales processes.
- Ability to apply expertise in a complex sales environment to service large and/or national accounts.
- Experience anticipating customer needs based on advanced business knowledge and deep understanding of customer strategy.
- Skill in counseling and negotiating with senior executives.
- Desire to stay abreast of emerging market trends and customer needs to expand relationships and trust.
- Ability to guide others to solve complex problems using sophisticated analytical thought and innovative sales solutions.
- Team leadership experience and/or a desire to mentor and develop others.
This position will be paid on a 100% commission basis. Commission rates range from 4.0%–11.0%.
