About the RoleCast & Crew is expanding its Film, Television & Streaming sales team and is looking for a Business Development Representative who wants to grow into a closing role. You’ll develop a deep understanding of how productions get made and support a mix of inbound and outbound activities for major studios, mini‑majors, and independent producers.
What You’ll Do- Monitor and qualify inbound leads generated through marketing campaigns, routing qualified opportunities to the right Account Executive.
- Use Prod Pro, IMDbPro, and industry publications to track green lights and new production slates, turning that intelligence into targeted outreach.
- Execute outbound prospecting via phone, email, and Linked In to production accountants, line producers, UPMs, and finance coordinators.
- Validate and prioritize MQLs against territory and segment criteria before passing to AEs.
- Partner closely with assigned Account Executives to support expansion into new divisions, labels, or production slates.
- Maintain accurate pipeline records and prospect activity in Salesforce or Hub Spot.
- Participate in sales training, product education, and deal review sessions.
- Share market observations, production trends, competitive signals, and buyer feedback with the team.
- 1–3 years of experience in a sales, business development, client‑facing, or production‑adjacent role.
- Natural curiosity about the Film, Television & Streaming industry.
- Strong written communication skills for crafting tailored outreach.
- Comfort on the phone and in video calls with production professionals.
- Organized and self‑directed, able to manage a large prospect list across production stages.
- Resilience and a growth mindset; open to feedback and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Hub Spot, Linked In Sales Navigator, or similar tools is a plus.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for variable compensation with an on‑target annual value of $85,000. Compensation range is $55,000–$60,000 per year for non‑California locations.
The Path ForwardSuccessful BDRs who develop strong production knowledge, demonstrate pipeline discipline, and build effective AE partnerships will be first in line for Account Executive positions within the FTVS team.
