As a Security Officer - Lobby Reception Desk in Burbank, CA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and media location as a Front Desk Security Officer, where you will be the first point of contact for guests and employees. You will help manage access control and badge verification, monitor alarm panels and other security-related systems, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet.

Pay Rate: $19.65 / Hour

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors at the front desk by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Control access to the location by verifying identification, managing visitor sign-in, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and/or coordinating guest notifications with staff.
• Monitor lobby activity, cameras, alarms, and/or access control systems when assigned, reporting irregular conditions and helping to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating site emergency response activities and contacting appropriate personnel.
• Complete required reports and logs, document incidents and unusual activity, and communicate shift updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
