TV Pro Gearbuildsmulti-camera video system both fixed and mobile.
Our clients include video networks, studios, city governments, schools, and the military. Ourgrowthrequiresthat we hire another technician. The ideal candidate will have experience in video system wiring and the ability to read and follow AutoCAD wiring diagrams. Television production experience is an asset but not mandatory.
We are located in Burbank, CA in a modern facility. We have been in business for 27 years. We have a comprehensive health care plan, paid holidays, and vacation. Our compensation plan is above industry standards.
Job details
-Wire and terminate cables forflypacks, control rooms, server racks, patchbays, and broadcast equipment
Run, label, organize, and dress cables (SDI, CAT6/7, fiber, XLR, TRS, AES, control lines, etc.)Install equipment such as routers, switchers, audio systems, PTZ cameras, intercoms, monitors, and production gear Assist in building racks, looms, snakes, and structured AV wiring for systems integration projects
Participate in on-site installs forCity Halls, meeting rooms, studios, event spaces, corporate AV systems, and more
Read wiring diagrams, cable lists, system drawings, and follow engineering plans
Test cables and troubleshoot wiring issues during integration and commissioning
Maintain a clean, organized work area and contribute to a high-quality production environment
May require travel for some jobs.
Required:
Experience with AV, broadcast, electrical, or low-voltage wiring
Ability to terminate common cables (SDI/BNC, Ethernet, XLR, TRS, etc.)Strong attention to detail and pride in clean cable management
Reliable, punctual, and able to work hands-on in a production shop
Can lift 40–50 lbs and comfortable working on ladders when needed
Nice to Have (but not required):
Fiber termination or testing experience
Knowledge of Q-SYS, Dante, NDI, or broadcast signal flow
Experience with rack wiring or live production systems
Soldering skills
Understanding of control systems, comms, or networking basics
