We are seeking a skilled Lead Fire Alarm Installer to oversee and perform installation of commercial fire alarm systems. This role is responsible for leading field crews, ensuring installations meet code and project specifications, and supporting system testing and commissioning. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, leadership ability, and hands‑on installation experience.

Schedule
  • Hours may vary. Must be able to work nights, weekends, split shifts, and overtime (if needed).
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead installation of fire alarm panels, devices, and notification systems
  • Supervise and support technicians on‑site to ensure quality and productivity
  • Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and wiring schematics
  • Plan cable pathways, oversee pulling and termination of low voltage wiring
  • Program, test, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems as required
  • Ensure installations comply with NFPA, NEC, and local codes
  • Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and other trades
  • Maintain accurate documentation, labeling, and as‑built updates
Position Requirements
  • 3+ years of fire alarm or low voltage installation experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects or crews in the field
  • Strong knowledge of commercial fire alarm systems and installation practices
  • Ability to read construction drawings and technical documentation
  • Experience with system troubleshooting
  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Valid California Driver License and proof of auto insurance.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Ability to drive for 2+ hours in a work shift/day, daily.
  • Ability to drive, walk, bend, stoop, hear, and speak, daily.
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, under all temperature variations.
  • Work environment may be construction sites, commercial buildings, and multi‑tenant properties.
  • Ascend/Descend and work at heights above 6ft and extreme heights, occasionally
  • Move/Transport/Install/Remove items weighing 50+ pounds, daily
  • Pushing/Pulling using upper extremities, daily
  • Position self to work in confined spaces, occasionally
