We are seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. In this role, you will support the installation, wiring, and testing of fire alarm systems in commercial and residential environments while developing your technical skills and knowledge of industry codes and safety practices.
Key Responsibilities- Install fire alarm control panels, devices, and notification systems
- Pull, route, and terminate low-voltage fire alarm cabling
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and riser drawings
- Mount and wire devices such as smoke detectors, pull stations, horns/strobes, and modules
- Assist with system programming, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning
- Ensure installations meet NFPA, NEC, local code, and manufacturer requirements
- Label devices, maintain documentation, and support as-built updates
- Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and other trades on-site
- Follow all company safety procedures and jobsite requirements
- 2+ years in construction and/or low voltage installation
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Valid California Driver License and proof of auto insurance.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends, if needed.
- Ability to drive for 2+ hours in a work shift/day, daily.
- Ability to drive, walk, bend, stoop, hear, and speak, daily.
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, under all temperature variations.
- Work environment may be construction sites, commercial buildings, and multi-tenant properties.
- Ascend/Descend and work at heights above 6ft and extreme heights, occasionally
- Move/Transport/Install/Remove items weighing 50+ pounds, daily
- Pushing/Pulling using upper extremities, daily
- Position self to work in confined spaces, occasionally
