Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician

Walmart is expanding our workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. The role involves supporting and overseeing repair and maintenance of Walmart facilities’ refrigeration and HVAC equipment using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand, digital, and power tools.

As a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician you will perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and emergency response for refrigeration and HVAC systems in a fast‑paced retail environment.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and hand, digital, and power tools.
• Use the work order management system to receive and document repair work orders.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required safety training and use equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart safety policies.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, work on ladders, and operate at heights safely.

• 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• 18 years or older with a high‑school diploma or equivalent.

• Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.
