Maintenance Electronics Tech
Under general supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties relating including, but not limited to: determines methods and sequence of operations, installs, trouble-shoots, repairs and maintains complex industrial electrical and numerically controlled systems and devices used on industrial machinery and equipment, including initial and prototype systems, where required technical information is not complete, and procedures and standards have not been fully established, and it is required to exercise a complete knowledge of applicable electrical and electronic theory, and maintenance shop practice and procedure;
develops special equipment as required; modifies and develops industrial electrical and numerically controlled systems and devices, providing missing design details, substituting components and making changes in circuit design for approval by others, where these systems and devices do not meet operational requirements. Collaborates with others in the trouble-shooting and correction of problems such as the design or malfunctioning of industrial electrical and numerical control systems, including prototype systems.
Installs, modifies and maintains various types of industrial electronic communication systems and devices such as AM and FM intercommunication transmitters and receivers, plant public address and fire alarm systems. Performs mechanical operations necessary to the dismantling, disassembly, repair, and installation of electronic units. Helps Electrical Maintenance classifications as required. Follow all Senior policies and procedure. Other duties as assigned. In addition to the above, Maintenance Electronics Tech are to maintain an organized, clean and safe work area using safety standards and expectations while adhering to all quality practices.

Education and/or
Experience:
Associates degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering; or related field and/or a minimum 3 years related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Have knowledge of proper chemical handling, acid hazards and proper techniques for handling materials. Experience with old manufacturing equipment and with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Strong experience in mechanical and electrical background for new installations and retrofits, repairs, and upgrades.
Extensive experience with various types of hand and power tools and calibration instruments.
