Technician, Refrigeration​/HVAC

We are seeking an experienced commercial refrigeration HVAC technician to support and oversee repair activities for Walmart's facility equipment. The role involves using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills with hand, digital, and power tools to complete jobs, maintain equipment, diagnose issues, and ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.

• 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Large scale rack refrigeration experience (preferred)

• Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program
• Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand, digital, and power tools.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive, support, and document repair work orders for stores and store associates.
• Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations, performing work according to Walmart safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and regularly work at heights.

The hourly wage range for this position is $28.00 – $54.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Premiums may apply under certain criteria.
